Amanda Wolschleger

Musician. Scholar. Critic.

Amanda Wolschleger is a percussionist, pianist, and music analyst currently pursuing a doctorate in music theory at Temple University.  Performance is an integral part of her research process, and since 2024, she has been taking private piano lessons which shaped her MA thesis on Chopin's mazurkas as musical memories. As a percussionist, she actively participated in a variety of ensembles during her MA studies and has experience as a pit musician from her time at San Diego State University. Amanda takes a holistic approach to her work as a musician, previously making her own timpani mallets, and currently learning Polish and participating in Polish folk dance ensembles to enrich her understanding of Chopin's music.
